WORK-IN-PROGRESS: Trilogy: Roots, Home and Belonging
A trilogy of reflective film essays where the filmmaker traverses through the landscapes of India, Scotland and Pakistan while meditating on the intimate journeys of birth, loss and return.
RECENT: Colour Elements
A short promotional film to help attract funding for an exciting new app being developed by dynamic fashion consultancy Colour Elements. Based at the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation, Colour Elements is led by entrepreneur and personal colour expert Karen Finlayson.
WORK-IN-PROGRESS: Two Janes, 80 mins, Documentary Film
In 1898, my great-grandfather and his brother travelled from India to Edinburgh and married two extraordinary women: Jane Brown and Jane Batty. Abandoned by their Indian husbands, the two Janes struggled to pursue incredible careers in a Britain that frowned on interracial love. On a self-reflexive journey, I search for traces of their lives.
Selected for the Edinburgh Pitch at Edinburgh International Film Festival 2016.
BOFA Productions received a development grant for ‘Two Janes’ from Creative Scotland in January 2017.
